COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course is designed to familiarize key theories, concepts, strategies, and processes of persuasion and social influence, providing skills necessary to evaluate and apply persuasive tools in professional communication.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: For COMSTRAT561: Persuasion for Professional Communicators, I spent the semester working on the Facebook advocacy page “Free the Pill,” with a focus on spreading information on and awareness of the importance and plausibility of birth control accessibility, utilizing different types of persuasive tools, such as the cognitive dissonance theory, elaboration likelihood model, and different message factors to do so.
